Fight the Cuts Forum to discuss impacts of the cut in the “Big Beautiful Bill”

WRJ invites you to an in person Fight the Cuts Forum
at Riverdale Temple, Sunday, October 26 from 1 to 3 PM. 

NYS Senator Gustavo Rivera, Chair of the Senate health committee and sponsor of the New York Health Act will speak about how the Act could, if passed, mitigate the impact of the federal cuts.

Speakers representing the medical community will detail the impact of the cuts on delivering medical care.

Ellen Barlis
Chief Financial Officer of Jacobi and North Central Bronx Hospitals will present the impact of the cuts on the hospital community. 

Dr. Betty Kolod
a hospital internist, doctor of internal medicine, and Chair of the Physicians for a National Health Program NY Metro will discuss the impact of the cuts on physicians. 

Marco Barrios
a patient and a patient advocate, will describe his and the experiences of the patient community.

We are delighted that the author of the New York Health Act, the Hon. Richard Gottfried, will be present to answer questions. Please arrive early so that we can start promptly at 1 PM. There will be literature and refreshments available.
