Nursery School

Riverdale Temple Nursery School is a warm and nurturing environment, due to our dedicated and caring teachers and our amazing families. Teachers provide longstanding years of services to RTNS, and families return with siblings and grandchildren. As soon as you walk through our doors, you can feel the magical energy that is in our school!

We believe that this is the most important time in a child’s education.

It is where the foundation is laid. It is when children learn to try new things, take risks, think out of the box, make friends, find their passions, and make mistakes. At RTNS, children discover that sometimes their mistakes are even more wonderful than what they had planned.

Our work at RTNS is to help children become life-long learners with a strong foundation. We hope that the children at RTNS will see learning and school as an exciting adventure.

We believe strongly that home and school are a team — that school and home work together so that each child can be the best that they can be. We can do together what we can’t do alone! Parents are children’s first teachers, and our teachers at RTNS build upon each parent’s thoughtful, wonderful, and loving work.

Our curriculum is child-centered and developmentally appropriate. We embrace each child and their special gifts. Teachers challenge each child to try new things, and support them when they need a little extra help.

At RTNS, we hope that the children and families will always be a part of our community. Our wish for the children who come to RTNS is that they will go out into the world and make it a better place.
